Design and display: Notch in comparison
As usual, Apple cannot be fooled in terms of design. The iPhone 11 lies comfortably in the hand, is encased in a high-quality glass case, has the typical rounded edges and looks incredibly good. The Huawei P30 does not look so classy, but scores with a chic color gradient on the back.
Display Comparison: when it comes to the screen, both smartphone manufacturers remain true to the notch trend. The small recess at the top of the screen ensures that both the iPhone 11 and the Huawei P30 ensure that the display remains almost borderless and can be used to its full extent. The two top smartphones don’t take much in terms of size either.
The iPhone 11 comes with a 6.1-inch LCD display that has a resolution of 1792 x 828 pixels at 326 ppi and is capable of true-tone technology. The 6.1-inch Huawei P30 screen uses OLED technology and has a slightly higher resolution than the iPhone 11: The Huawei screen offers 2340 x 1080 pixels at 422 ppi. If you look at the data sheets, the flagship of the Chinese manufacturer seems to have a small display advantage.
Performance and Endurance: the Duel of the Power Packages
The iPhone has always been a performance miracle and that remains the case with the iPhone 11. In terms of endurance, however, Huawei is still ahead of the game, even if Apple has upgraded and performed well with the energy-saving A13 Bionic chip. Apple speaks of 17 hours of video and 65 hours of audio playback. The Huawei P30, meanwhile, is equipped with a 3,650 mAh battery and is known for its long endurance: when used every day, the cell phone can last up to two days. The iPhone 11 can compensate for this marathon performance, however, because the new Apple smartphone masters fast charging (50% in 30 minutes).
With regard to the internal memory, the iPhone 11 gives users the choice between 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB. Huawei users are at a disadvantage here with 128 GB, but they also enjoy the advantage that the memory of the P30 can be expanded by another 128 GB via NanoSD.
Camera: The Photos Miracle in Comparison
The main camera of the iPhone 11 is the biggest surprise. Apple has put a lot of effort into this and brought about optical and technical changes, and not necessarily to the delight of all Apple disciples.
