iPhone 11 vs. Huawei P30 in Comparison

Every year, tech enthusiasts gather in Cupertino to listen and watch the Apple keynote as Apple CEO Tim Cook unveils the world’s most prestigious smartphone. There is hardly any other device that is so fussed about as the iPhone, because the nimbus of the avant-garde is attached to the Apple mobile phone. A nimbus that seems to have faded in recent years, because the competition is currently catching up. Innovation, performance and a sense of style have become attributes that also adorn the smartphones from Huawei. That’s why we dare the ultimate comparison of the flagships: iPhone 11 vs. Huawei P30.

Design and display: Notch in comparison
As usual, Apple cannot be fooled in terms of design. The iPhone 11 lies comfortably in the hand, is encased in a high-quality glass case, has the typical rounded edges and looks incredibly good. The Huawei P30 does not look so classy, but scores with a chic color gradient on the back.
Display Comparison: when it comes to the screen, both smartphone manufacturers remain true to the notch trend. The small recess at the top of the screen ensures that both the iPhone 11 and the Huawei P30 ensure that the display remains almost borderless and can be used to its full extent. The two top smartphones don’t take much in terms of size either.
The iPhone 11 comes with a 6.1-inch LCD display that has a resolution of 1792 x 828 pixels at 326 ppi and is capable of true-tone technology. The 6.1-inch Huawei P30 screen uses OLED technology and has a slightly higher resolution than the iPhone 11: The Huawei screen offers 2340 x 1080 pixels at 422 ppi. If you look at the data sheets, the flagship of the Chinese manufacturer seems to have a small display advantage.
Performance and Endurance: the Duel of the Power Packages
The iPhone has always been a performance miracle and that remains the case with the iPhone 11. Apple is equipping the new flagship with the new in-house A13 Bionic chip, which uses 4 GB of RAM, is manufactured using the 7-nanometer process and is very energy efficient. The A13 Bionic processor is one of the most powerful on the market, so the iPhone 11 delivers smooth and fast performance. On top, Apple has upgraded the already strong chip and put AI and gaming at the center. But Huawei has also been in the first division for a long time.
The Huawei P30 runs with the 7nm Kirin 980, which is in the top 10 of the Antutu benchmark list and makes Huawei’s spring flagship among the ten most powerful smartphones in the world. The RAM is 6 GB more abundant than that of the iPhone 11, but it makes little difference in everyday life. Both smartphones are lightning fast and show top performance on all routes.
In terms of endurance, however, Huawei is still ahead of the game, even if Apple has upgraded and performed well with the energy-saving A13 Bionic chip. Apple speaks of 17 hours of video and 65 hours of audio playback. The Huawei P30, meanwhile, is equipped with a 3,650 mAh battery and is known for its long endurance: when used every day, the cell phone can last up to two days. The iPhone 11 can compensate for this marathon performance, however, because the new Apple smartphone masters fast charging (50% in 30 minutes).
With regard to the internal memory, the iPhone 11 gives users the choice between 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB. Huawei users are at a disadvantage here with 128 GB, but they also enjoy the advantage that the memory of the P30 can be expanded by another 128 GB via NanoSD.
Camera: The Photos Miracle in Comparison
The main camera of the iPhone 11 is the biggest surprise. Apple has put a lot of effort into this and brought about optical and technical changes, and not necessarily to the delight of all Apple disciples. With the iPhone 11, for the first time an Apple smartphone has a square-mounted dual camera that has an ultra-wide-angle sensor (Æ’ / 2.4 aperture, 120 ° field of view) and a wide-angle sensor (Æ’ / 1.8 aperture) and has a resolution of 12 megapixels.
Framing of the lenses makes the camera or camera boss very dominant, which is why the iPhone 11 somewhat undermines the usual clean Apple design. This definitely takes some getting used to for fans. In addition to the dual lens, Apple has also decided to install an image stabilizer (OIS) on the sensors. This ensures excellent photos, Night Mode produce the optimal snapshot in all lighting conditions.
